This is pretty hard to do this effect, but if you understand a little photoshop.
Its pretty simple.

And yes we are back!
And I'm accepting new authors as well.

Sorry for those who replied before but were denied. I didn't think it would be revived until now.

Also if no one feels like updating, I'll just hold the fort on my own.
:P

I look forward to seeing your applications.

pffft

Christh^^, September 15th, 2010, 5:35 am

There's an even simpler way to make an more realistic fire effect. :/

blitz5000, September 15th, 2010, 12:52 pm

so, did you deny my application because you didn't think the comic would be revived, or because of the whole 'nuff said thing?... or both?

blitz5000, September 15th, 2010, 2:10 pm

also, can you do this in photoshop elements, or does it have to be plain photoshop? because I can't seem to do it in photoshop elements, and that's all I've got.

Yamataro, September 15th, 2010, 2:55 pm

While is looks flashy, it doesn't look like fire... Oh hey... I still author here? Wtf?

Blitzn'Burst, September 15th, 2010, 3:11 pm

i think he also denied it cuz you stole my name :| not like it was oringinal in first place but i make it look good 8|

Heligate, September 15th, 2010, 3:31 pm

RE: blitz5000 also probably because you're not that good, no offence, but, gtfo.

WolfieBoy, September 15th, 2010, 3:34 pm

^^^^^

Mist the Moonhunter, September 15th, 2010, 5:11 pm

Wotter, if you understand a bit of PS it should be quite simple.
Yama, you still author here because I'm willing to give you another chance. Unless of course you feel like leaving.
:(

If you want it to look more realistic, you can also copy and paste it repeativley.
Until you have lots of individual strands.

This looks more like a magical... Pop effect thingy. It'd probably be better to type "how to make fire in [program]" in google.

blitz5000, September 16th, 2010, 12:21 pm

meany-bobeanies! D:<

Mist the Moonhunter, September 16th, 2010, 5:07 pm

Blitz,

You can go ahead and say that.
But thats just the attitude I won't have in an author.

Ultimate the Hedgehog, September 16th, 2010, 7:44 pm

blitz5000, September 17th, 2010, 11:18 am

uhh... you didn't honestly think I was serious with "meany-bobeany", did you? if I was really trying to insult those **cough**meany-bobeanies**cough**, I would have used something less... ridiculous.

blitz5000, September 18th, 2010, 5:10 am

mobody answered my question... the photoshop one...? anyone...? *mumbles dark thoughts*

Mist the Moonhunter, September 18th, 2010, 8:54 am

Well I hardly know you.
And sadly..
Being honest fags are like that on SJ these days...

Sqoby, September 18th, 2010, 1:53 pm

From what I know, Elements and Photoshop itself are two different things. All I know about Elements is it doesn't have much of the toolbars and effects Photoshop has, so I honestly couldn't tell you. I would suggest googling around to see if there's a tutorial site that'll help.
